Working Materials
We select the right material for each application: structural, tool, and stainless steels; bronze and aluminum alloys; and engineering plastics.
Steel Families
We work with the main steel families to ensure the mechanical properties, machinability, and strength each part demands.
Carbon Steel
High machinability · General and structural use
| Grade | Typical application | Approx. hardness |
|---|---|---|
| 1018 | Pins, dowels, low-load parts | 126 HB |
| 1045 | Shafts, gears, transmission bushings | 163–201 HB |
| 4140 | High-strength axles, quenched parts | 197–237 HB |
| 4340 | Critical impact and severe fatigue parts | 217–255 HB |
Stainless Steel
Corrosion resistance · Food-grade and industrial
| Grade | Typical application | Corrosion resist. |
|---|---|---|
| 304 | Tanks, valve bodies, nozzles | High |
| 316 | Chloride environments, sugar and food industries | Very high |
| 410 | Parts requiring strength and machinability | Medium |
| 17-4PH | High strength with good corrosion resistance, critical parts | High |
Tool Steel
Dies, molds, and extreme wear parts
| Grade | Typical application | Approx. hardness |
|---|---|---|
| D2 | Cutting dies, blades, punches | 58–62 HRC |
| H13 | Injection molds, hot-work dies | 44–52 HRC |
| M2 | End mills, drills, high-speed cutting tools | 62–65 HRC |
Structural Steel
Equipment frames, supports, and structures
| Grade | Typical application | Yield strength |
|---|---|---|
| A36 | Plates, sections, bases, and general supports | 250 MPa |
| A572 Gr.50 | Higher-load structures, beams, and frames | 345 MPa |
Non-Ferrous Metals
Bronze, aluminum, and brass for applications requiring good machinability, conductivity, light weight, or specific corrosion resistance.

Bronze
Excellent for sliding bushings, worm wheel crowns, and bearings. Low friction and high wear resistance in metal-on-metal contact.

Aluminum
Ideal for parts requiring light weight with good mechanical strength. Excellent machinability and atmospheric corrosion resistance.

Brass
Used in valves, couplings, and precision parts combining good machinability, surface finish, and fluid resistance.
Engineering Plastics
For applications requiring insulation, light weight, or chemical resistance. Machinable with the same techniques as metals.
Nylon (PA6 / PA66)
Bushings, sprockets, and sliding guides. Self-lubricating, impact-resistant, and oil-resistant.
Teflon (PTFE)
Seals, valve seats, and guides requiring total chemical resistance and minimum friction coefficient.
Acetal (Delrin)
High dimensional rigidity, low moisture absorption. Ideal for precision gears and light machinery components.
UHMW-PE
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Maximum wear and impact resistance. Liners, chain guides, and abrasive wear applications.
Machining Capabilities
Maximum working dimensions for the main machining operations performed in our plant.
